8:30am: Tourguide & Car pick up at hotel to take part in Hanoi City Tour, firstly visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, his house on stilt, the botanical garden and the Presidential palace while learning about his life and revolutionary activities.
Hanoi: With its tree-lined boulevards and lakes, a
blend of French, Chinese and Vietnamese architecture, Hanoi is the jewel
of Asia. This tour takes you through the charming pagodas and the "36
streets and 36 wares" of the fascinating Old Quarter, as well as the
impressive Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the ancient Temple of Literature, the
Lake of the Restored Sword, One Pillar Pagoda, Hanoi Opera House,
History Museum, the Fine Arts Museum, and the Ethnology Museum.
08:00: Depart
from the hotel. We start our tour at the Ho Chi Minh complex. Learn
about Ho Chi Minh’s great life, visit the Mausoleum, Presidential
Palace, and a replica of his residential home. Next we visit the Temple
of Literature dedicated to Confucius and the home of Vietnam's first
national university.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Ethnology one of Hanoi’s numerous fascinating museums. Then we call into Hoa Lo Prison nicknamed “the Hanoi Hilton” were many famous prisoners were kept during the Vietnam war. Our journey continues to the Opera House, and then Ngoc Son temple on Hoan Kiem Lake. We finish the day with a choice of either enjoying the water puppet show at the water puppet theatre or taking a relaxing 1 hour Xichlo (rickshaw) ride through the Old Quarter.
